Dearest Abintra Families,
Have we all ever worked harder? It is not in our nature to Stay at Home. This virus is telling us to stop and wait for the intelligence that resides in our brightest minds to do their work, to imagine and create treatments, even a vaccine that will offer protection. Meanwhile, to stay at home, to stop and wait, is very hard work for pack animals, so we must rely on technology to provide us with connections for now.
The Board of Trustees is Zooming and supporting the school with advice and care. Parent Support Groups and individual consultations continue. Know that we are available.
The faculty does come into school when necessary. We only have a few on campus at a time and we are working in different classrooms. We practice physical distancing and wear our gloves and masks made by Blair, who works in the Lower School. She has made almost 100 masks to date.
We miss all of you. The campus is beautiful right now and I invite you to take a drive through the campus or park in one of the lower lots and walk the trails to the labyrinth. Walk it and breathe. Abintra is a safe space and it belongs to all of us.
The best news is the feedback we receive from families. This week I am sharing a few with you.
