Making Sense of Gender

Generation Z and Alpha (our children) have the largest number of young people who identify somewhere on the LGBTQIA+ spectrum. This means that they will grow up with peers who identify somewhere on that spectrum and some might identify themselves as a part of this community. This can begin as early as 3 - 5 years old.

Helping our children understand and have empathy and respect for folks who identify differently from them is an important skill. We will look at how to talk to children of all ages about gender and what their experiences might be like. We also invite you come with questions about gender, gender identity, and gender roles.
