Making Sense of Gender (in person)

Generation Z and Alpha (our children) have the largest number of young people who identify somewhere on the LGBTQIA+ spectrum. This means that they will grow up with peers who identify somewhere on that spectrum and some might identify themselves as a part of this community. This can begin as early as 3 - 5 years old.

Helping our children understand their own identities and helping others have empathy and respect for folks who identify differently from them is an important skill. We will look at age and developmentally appropriate ways to talk with children of all ages about sexual orientation and gender.
